WHAT MAKES THIS THE BEST HARNESS?

The Perfect Fit Harness is our evolutionary harness, which comes in 2-3 separate pieces in 4 different size ranges (Tiny, 15mm, 20mm and 40mm). Within each size range there are between 5 and 11 different sized pieces, enabling us to get a snug custom fit for almost any size/shape of dog (cats, rabbits, pigs too!) They’re great for uniquely shaped dogs like sight hounds, Dachshunds, Basset Hounds, Bull Dogs, tiny breeds and giant breeds. *Please note-you cannot interchange pieces from different size ranges.

With up to 5 points of adjustment we can alter the harness accordingly to each dog, ideal for growing puppies as the harness can grow with the puppy with the option of buying individual pieces when necessary.

It has a D-ring which sits on the dog's back and a D-ring which sits on the front of the dog's chest, which means you can use the 2 points of contact with a double ended lead for more control over strong dogs. The front D-ring is only to be used in conjunction with the back D-ring by using a double ended lead or 2 leads, it is NOT designed to take the pressure that the back D-ring can. The D-rings are made of stainless steel to prevent rusting and the harness is fully machine washable, do not tumble dry.

The Perfect Fit is designed not to go on over the head, instead you clip the harness around the dog rather than having to manoeuvre the dog into the harness, much less invasive. Furthermore, if a harness goes on over the dog’s head then there’s a chance they could back out of it.

The Perfect Fit Harness sits on the skeleton, avoiding pressure points, soft tissues and the throat/neck area, giving the dog full range of movement to run, swim and jump. Covered in thick padded fleece the Perfect Fit offers the utmost comfort for the dog and also helps the harness to adhere to the dog’s coat, preventing chaffing and slipping. Due to its comfort we have found that it often has a calming/re-balancing effect on dogs.  This is a more complex harness to fit than most but by far the pioneer of harness design.

Escapologists & Tripaws

These harnesses can be very difficult for Houdini dogs to escape from. This is because we can make the neck hole smaller than the skull by clipping the harness around the neck rather than going on over the head. Harnesses which go on over the head can be easily backed out from. Using a double ended lead can also help to prevent the dog escaping. Note, it is never impossible for the dog to escape. You can use a link from front D-ring to collar if necessary. Due to the modular design we are able to snugly fit front leg amputees whether they have a small stump remaining or not.
