Natural Treat-o-meter š

Treatable vs. Snackable
PICK THE RIGHT BITE
Is it time to train or time to snack? Let's choose the best treat for the job.
Not all dog treats are made for the same moment. Some are perfect for quick-fire training sessions - small or easy to break, and gone in a flash while still super yummy. Others are more suited to snacking - a nice gesture that says āgood dogā when youāre heading out the door or just feeling generous. The difference often comes down to size, texture, and how long it takes to munch through.
And when youāre choosing between treatable and snackable, know that all our treats are 100% natural, made right here in New Zealand, and considered 'high value' by most dogs. That means your pup will be extra motivated to work for them - and variety helps keep that motivation high.
We call these two kinds of treats:
- 𦓠Treatable ā Training treats: tiny, tasty, and easy to eat quickly. Perfect for learning new tricks or reinforcing good behaviour. šš¼
- 𦓠Snackable ā Snacking treats: chunkier, crunchier, and made for enjoyment, not speed. Ideal for those 'just because you're awesome' moments. š„°
Some treats blur the line - breakable and versatile enough to suit both treatable and snacky moments. And sometimes, your dogās recall is so good it deserves a jackpot - a snackable treat used as a mega reward. You know your dog best.
Snackable treats also tend to work well in enrichment toys or puzzles to make the fun last longer, while treatable ones are better for quick wins in those toys.
And thereās even some overlap with the first few Easy/Quick chews from our Natural Chews Chew-o-meter. These sit right at the snackable end of the Treat-o-meter, especially for bigger dogs or those with stronger jaws.
Check out the guide below to see where each treat lands on the Treatable-Snackable Scale š, and find the perfect match for your pup's next moment of glory (or quiet time).
