Alice is 12 and gets sore hips if she overplays chasing balls and destroys soft toys in minutes! But this toy she can play tug of war or sit and pull out the stuffing, it’s easy for her to pick up and is robust. She started to de-stuff as soon as she got it.
It’s wonderful that she’s found a toy she can enjoy comfortably at her age. I’m so happy it works well for gentler play and keeps her engaged without being too hard on her hips. What a cute dog!
I bought this for my chew everything spaniel with some trepidation. Day one he gave the rubber a good chewing but did not get all the way through the rubber. since then he has not chewed again. He plays with it daily. Everynow and then we hide a treat which keeps him interested all the time. Only thing he cant do is retrieve it from under the sofa lol. Well worth the investment.

A dog that destroys all his toys, pulls out stuffing,then our daughter saw the website and suggested get one of these. We did and very grateful, he has it, enjoys it for quite a while and then I put it away until next time. A good buy.
That’s why we love the Magic Destuffer: it gives dogs the satisfaction of pulling things out without the destruction (and mess) of normal toys. Great to hear your boy is enjoying it so much and that it’s holding up for him.
Our Goldie Nala loves her destuffer. But she needs to be actively supervised the whole time or else the bits of fabric get chewed to bits!
Great idea for a toy though as all her soft toys would end up in pieces within minutes usually!

We have a very destructive (of her toys) Corgi and she loves the magic destuffer and has taken to destuffing it rather than destroying everything else. Well worth the money and keeping her entertained and happy

Quality of the ball is great. Sometimes my dog is interested, sometimes he isn’t. He doesn’t tend to perservere with it like he would a stuffed toy! 😂 Even with a few treats, he tends to stop as soon as he works out the treats are gone.
Funnily enough, our 13year old Shih-Tzu is more into it and will de stuff for ages!

This is actually a great example of something we often talk about - no matter how well-designed a toy is, there's always a bit of unpredictability in how a dog will respond. Every pup is different, and while we can make educated guesses based on what they've liked before, sometimes they surprise us!

Our elderly dog loves this de stuffing toy. He also loves playing ball & when he’s tired of chasing & fetching the stuffed ball he proceeds to the destuffing …. hours of fun ! 👍

Bonnie loves her magic desrtuffer. She struggles getting the last few out, and I did catch her the other trying to demolish the strips themselves, but it has so far outlasted every other toy we have got her.

Maybe you could help a few times with the last few to help her figure it out.

100% going to get another one of these for a friend. I would recommend only supervised play if your dog is like ours and after destuffing he goes to treat the fabric apart.

We bought two of these for a fox-terrier X and a Pomeranian and they both love them! Hours of fun gutting them and carrying the fabric strips about shaking them to death. Perfect for the foxy in particular who just shreds any other kind of toy within minutes. They are durable, easy to clean, and easy to add interest by packing biscuits inside as a treat.

I bought this for my huntaway × bearded collie Aiko as she used to love destroying stuffed animals so thought it would be a good alternative to having stuffing all over the house! She instantly loved pulling the fabric out and we have also used it for enrichment with some hidden treats inside. Also great to use as a ball without the fabric and also for tug of war so definitely a versatile dog toy! The only downside I would say is that the fabric is easily chewed through hence only a 4 star review, but once the fabric has been well-used we will stuff this with old socks/clothes so it can still be unstuffed by Aiko!
So glad it's a hit with Aiko! You can also buy a replacement set of the fleece later on or get some Possum tails as stuffing instead. :) But as you say you can use old towels, blankets, clothes, etc.
