AN OUTLET FOR NATURAL HERDING & HUNTING INSTINCTS

Keep your dog busy for hours with this Egg toy! It has an innovative egg-shaped design that means they can never quite get a grip on the toy, but they love to try! These eggs are made in the USA from durable, non-toxic plastic designed to resist punctures and their constant erratic motion helps to keep your dog entertained. Durable and fun, what a great combo! They are also great for water based fun as they float!

Designed for constant, erratic motion, these Eggs are great for solo play and since they constantly escape your dog by "shooting" out from under them, they engage your dog's natural desire to pounce and chase/hunt, push and herd which makes it a great safe and fun outlet for their instincts.

Dimensions (& Suitability guideline <-- jaw gape and playstyle need to be accounted for):

  • Med/Large: 20cm (Dogs <18kg)
  • X-Large: 30cm (Dogs >18kg): temporarily purple instead of red

PRODUCT NOTE: To ensure the best playtime experience and durability, we recommend choosing an egg size that is larger than your dog's mouth, especially if you predict them trying to pick it up or chew it. Choosing the egg big enough will prevent your dog from being able to grip or bite down on it, helping to avoid damage and providing more fun for longer!
This item is not intended to be used as a chew toy - excessive chewing may cause tooth wear. While designed for durability, no dog toy is indestructible. Always supervise your dog while they play with any toy and gently redirect any destructive behaviour for safety.

Very aggressive chewer

We gave it a try, but unfortunately, my staffy had it in his mouth for all of 30 seconds and he managed to crash it and get a hold of it. He still loves it but it’s a bit dangerous now for the plastic bits. Definitely would recommend though if you didn’t have such an aggressive chewing dog.

I really appreciate your honest feedback and helpful video (also showing the handsome culprit). It is a pity it didn't last long at all. Super chewers can definitely put even the toughest toys to the test! Let's talk about some guaranteed and tougher options for your staffy! Your video will help other customers to decide if the toy is suitable for their extreme chewer. Ideally they can't fit their jaw around it - that's the idea, so I am impressed at his range with an XL egg!

Sanity saver

I brought this toy a few months ago for my then 3month old springer spaniel. This was the first toy she figured out how to play with by herself. She was a very early riser and this toy was an absolute sanity saver for keeping her distracted long enough for me to have a coffee and a break! Mostly use it now for sudden zoomies when it's a bit dark to go outside. Do supervise her with it, she gets a bit barky when it gets stuck in a corner otherwise. Brought the medium size.

That's fantastic! So useful for those kind of scenarios. And glad you make sure she doesn't get frustrated. Thanks so much for the video! <3

Neo loves it! But not robust enough for his teeth

Our blue heeler has a great time playing with this toy. However, he finds it easy to bite holes in it which I don't think is great for his teeth. We have the largest size. Would be a 5 star review if it was more robust

That's impressive that the Heeler manages to pick it up so easily. Glad he enjoys it, but yes, it's almost as if it's not quite big enough for his mouth. I don't think I'd be majorly concerned about his teeth from making a few marks like that over the couple of years he has had it. But I would certainly continue to keep a real good eye on the toy, so you can remove it when it's too broken to be safe anymore. It's great Leo loves it! :)

Mega egg ball is great fun!

My corgi loves playing with the mega egg. He enjoys herding this ball and the shape means he can’t just herd it like a normal ball. He has just had a 20 min play session and is nicely tired out! Perfect!

That's awesome that he gets to do breed specific behaviours, that sure will make him nicely satisfied. What a cute photo! <3

Great fun

I got the large size due to ruby being a 41kg rotti , in hindsight could have got the next size down , she will play with it for a while but gets frustrated because she can’t pick it up. But that could the whole idea.
No regrets about buying it , you people have a great range of product’s
Sue

Hi Sue, Thanks for the review and video. Sorry to hear she can get a bit frustrated after a while. You are right, that it is the whole idea that the egg-shaped design means the dogs can never quite get a grip on the toy. I would suggest to pop the toy away before she gets frustrated and over time increase the time she gets to play with it as she is only rehearsing the joyful play rather than any frustrated one.

Great toy but too small for my Staffy. Punctured holes in within half an hour.
Bought the XL egg and she found a way to puncture that as well
All in all she still has a lot of fun with them.
She previously had an XL egg and had endless amounts of fun with it until someone ran over it.

Ah, that's a pity. Usually some holes don't mean you need to stop using it, but of course if the damage becomes more pronounced, it may no longer be safe. It's unfortunately pretty common that once dogs have figured out how to destroy a toy, they will do it with any future ones as well. If the holes are specifically on the narrower end and depending on your Staffy's playstyle you could consider the biggest Boomer Ball as a future alternative.

Egg-septional

Ok, I buy them everything. They're not spoilt - there's just so much cool stuff to choose from. But the staple in the dog chest is absolutely this Jolly Egg. It took BabyShark a bit of time to figure out how to use it - now we play our own version of soccer around the lawn. Every time I come home, he gets the barker's egg for me to play with. The other toys wait their turn. The XL egg always comes first. Put me down for another one in about a year - that's how long it too before the last one got broken. (Shouldn't have kicked it with steel caps on. And he shouldn't have been wearing my boots!)

Love that BabyShark has claimed the Jolly Egg as the MVP of the toy chest - even ahead of all the other cool stuff. Your backyard soccer games sound like a lot of fun! And a year of play before it gave up (steel caps aside :D) is a pretty solid innings.

Order Large size egg, however it’s medium at most. Kiwicanine were happy to refund me, but tbh I more hassle at my end. Product is ok, but again very small for the price.

Thanks for your review. Sorry to hear that sending it back is too much hassle. The egg is the size that is named in the description: 20cm.
As advised the XL Egg is 30cm, as per description.

Brilliantly simple!

Our two Kelpies love this toy! They push it round, send it flying and bring it back. It seems to appeal to their herding instincts. Ten minutes with the egg and they’re exhausted - gives them excellent mental stimulation as they can’t predict which way it will go. Love it!

Perfect! That's exactly how it's meant to be used. So glad it's a hit with these two! <3

Great toy for chewers

We have a super aggressive chewer. Tennis balls are shredded in minutes and our boy loves balls. The egg shape means he can’t get his teeth into it and it slips and slides around the place, making for hilarious games. It’s still in one piece after a few weeks, and I expect it will stay that way. I bought the largest size, which is why he can’t destroy it.

Perfect, so it works exactly as intended for your boy, love to hear it <3

Fun and durable

My Lab puppy loved the egg and was most excited to chase it across the wooden floors. Although I did get her the medium size as she is still a pup, I could really have done with getting her the large size as she can put it in her mouth. Labs, eh! A good durable cost-effective toy for her.

Nice, so glad she enjoys it. Would love to see a video of her having fun. <3

Great for herding breeds

I have one of these for my heeler, is great for some evening entertainment. I do supervise as it tends to get stuck under furniture!

Fair enough, wouldn't want to get your house destroyed because of it. :D It is indeed great for herding breeds! Or any 'intense' kind of dogs. :)

Perfect toy for her herding instincts!

Our Sit Happens trainer recommended this for our girl when she started to express her herding instincts on us. It worked so well! This toy is her favourite activity ever. We keep it in the cuboard and she asks to play with it. Once we let her out in the yard, she plays for a whole hour at a time. A great energy burner and a perfect outlet for her herding instincts!

That sounds just amazing! Would love to see a video if you fancy sharing <3

Love this. I ordered the large and was hesitant when it arrived that it would be to big for beardie to get her mouth around.
Because she is a hard chewer I gave it to her anyway and she loves it!!
Bounces in odd directions and rolls around. She can't get her mouth around so it's surviving.

Yes, that's definitely the idea with these that they are pushed around and not picked up and chewed, so great it's working for you. We'd LOVE a video :D
