We love it!

Ralph got the hang of the walky dog really quickly. We wouldn't bike with him off leash or holding his leash at the nadle bars as he gets overexcited and likes to jump up and let us know how much fun he is having. With this attachment he is kept at a safe distance and still gets to run alongside us. We can't wait for more adventures!

Thanks so much for sharing - how lovely that Ralph picked up on the bike attachment nice and quick. So much fun to go biking together! <3

Second walky dog trial

Been away in Nelson/Tasman. Took Scout on short jog from Springrove to Brightwater. Then round Rough Island two days later. He seems to have the hang of it with lots of encouragement. Walky Dog worked really well. Thanks for such prompt and helpful service!

So lovely that you shared a photo with us! He'll just get more and more into it from here. :) I love that you started off easy and let him get the hang of it. To many many awesome bike rides for you guys! <3

Great Invesment

My 7 year old Weimaraner picked it up instantly, Only taken him on short rides so far to get him used to it but its going well.

Only issue I have come across is my boy is quite strong, He tends to be able to twist the bike seat round if he really wants to no matter how much I tighten it, I have come across others online who have remedied this issue by adding a support strop from the walky dog plus down to the back of the bike frame where the rear wheel is bolted through.
I am yet to try this, will give it a go if it ends up bothering me.

Oh and a short bike ride followed by a walk in the Park He was out to it for the rest of the day !

That's a cute face!!

Personally I went the other way and loosened the jaw on the bike seat, so in the rare occasion where anything gets pulled around it's the pole rather than the seat and usually it adjusts itself while I keep biking. Might be worth a try?

Great Product

My attachment arrived today and I had to try it out right away. Its amazing! I biked a few times with my dog, a border collie, with a hand lead and gave up as it was dangerous. It was impossible, she pulled and I struggled to keep the bike steady. This attachment is a game changer and now we can go biking together. My dog figured it out right away and she loved it. She jumped out and yanked once and I barely felt it. The bike stayed stable and we kept going. Quick and easy to assemble and made with sturdy materials.

Yay, so happy to hear you guys loved it as much as we do, it really is a gamer changer!
We also love the photo! <3

Amazing Invention

We have a 8 month old Huntaway x Heading. She has a tonne of energy and sometimes needs more than just a walk. This way she can jog alongside my husband on his bike rides. She took to it really well can is keen to go for a "ride" when the husband hooks this up to his bike.

Yay, that's great, thanks so much for the review and photo! :)
Just remember that her growth plates aren't fully closed yet at 8 months, so take it easy (slow and short distances) and give her lots of breaks.
Ha, you should see the happiness in our house as well when the bike attachment comes out, definitely an amazing invention!

Great Quality

I bought this for my son to use with his energetic husky. Works a treat - he can safely take her on outings and use up some of that husky energy.

So glad to hear it’s working well for your son and his husky! It’s great that they can get out safely and burn off some of that husky energy together. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Great with longer lead

This is fantastic. My Cavoodle loves trotting alongside the bike. It is easy to attach to the bike and the dog. For smaller dogs like mine, the longer lead is essential I believe. Kiwi Canine have recognized this and include it as a free extra. Their communication is excellent, and I recommend buying from them for these two reasons.

Thanks so much for the great review! I'm really glad to hear your Cavoodle is loving the rides - it's such a fun way to get out and about together. Totally agree that the longer rope is needed. Thanks for your kind words!

Great bit of gear!

Our Maggie is a bundle of Foxy cross energy so this is a game changer. She sussed it out really quickly attached to the wheelbarrow and we had our first outing on the bike today. Great stuff!

Yay, so glad you guys love it and the Low Rider is working well for your wee Foxy X!

I was worried about being able to run my very active dog after I hurt my leg and couldn't run but this has been amazing. My dog picked it up quickly and loves a good run with me on my bike.

Sorry to hear about your leg! I am glad to hear your dog still gets to run and it was an easy transition!

I love it!

I have been running my high energy staffy/boxer beside my ebike using a long lead. One hand on the handlebars, with finger poised on the brake, the other hand holding the lead handle, with my finger on the brake preventing her from getting too far away, but able to release if she decided to run towards another dog, cat or other exciting critter so as not to pull me over! Not terribly safe, & always a worry that she could get in front of the bike.
Now all that has CHANGED!! I can ride 2 handed again, she can't get in front (although she has come in a bit close to the pedals once or twice), & she seems much more focused on her run, learning my cues when I'm about to turn a corner, & barely noticing other critters. As always I let her set the pace, & barely need to pedal for the first couple of kms!
I have also found that the jaw is a bit loose, although tightened as far as it will go. I might need to find something to pack it out a bit, but so far it hasn't caused a problem.

Thanks so much for your fantastic review! I’m thrilled to hear our Bike Attachment has made your rides safer (glad nothing happened in the past :D) and more enjoyable. It sounds like your Staffy X Boxer is having a great time! And I love that you are introducing cues too - we have 'left', 'right', 'slow', 'quick', 'stop', 'let's go' and it's awesome how quickly they picked those up too <3 And yes, the fist couple of kms, we hardly paddle as well - we call it the D-Bike rather than the E-Bike. ;p

Regarding the jaw being a bit loose, a great tip is to add a piece of old bike tube to pack it out for a snugger fit, especially if your seat post is a bit narrow.

Happy riding!

Great attachment

Very stable and helpful for keeping my dog by my side as i ride bike. I got two sets so my partner and myself can run two dogs at the same time :)

Yay, so good you got to grab a second one once you saw how awesome they are. :D
Thanks so much for the review <3

Good but ...

Its great as far as what its designed for (absorb the impact of a dog pulling) BUT the piece that holds onto the bike and the screws are not high quality and keeps loosening (or I got a faulty one). Also it doesn't fit on a bike with a dropper seat post. If the dog goes behind the bike she will pull you over. I have the scars to prove it. Also good for people to know that this aid needs training for the dog and the human. You need to maintain voice and eye contact when the dog (and human) are getting used to it. Hope this is helpful for someone :-)

Hi Susan, Thanks so much for the feedback. One of our bikes has a dropper seat and it works fine, but we have it attached to the bit that doesn't move. Could you send us a photo of your setup, so we can have a look and give you tips as to how to attach it better?
In the meantime I would strongly suggest not to use it as it's not safe if it's not properly attached.
We look forward to a photo and hopefully we can resolve your issue.

If you ever want to see a dog smile.

Our dog loves this, I swear she smiles as soon as we connect it to the bike.
Highly recommend the product.

Naww, We'd LOVE a photo or video to see the smile! <3

Best invention ever!

We have always wanted to be able to cycle with our dogs but they get distracted quite easily and pull so this was not a safe possiblity before. I bought one of these bike attachments to test out and it is the most amazing thing ever! Both our dogs are medium/large and this is a sturdy piece of equipment that I trust. We bought a second one because we were so impressed and now our dogs are getting plenty of exercise with us :) it's so much fun!

Ha! We so agree! Thanks so much for the review, keep enjoying your adventures together! <3

Exactly what we need! Perfect

I have enviously watched people cycle with their dog and wished it was possible with my dog. I have a high energy dog with very few exercise options as she is highly reactive and I am not a runner! I worried about her attacking or getting caught in the bike, or lunging at things when I was busy cycling. This product seems to address all these issues. It is early days yet but she seems to enjoy the RUNS we are now able to go on, and is so busy focusing on her job of being in the right place next to the bike, that she doesn't react to anything. Such an important accessory for both of us! Thank you so much for making this an option. It is making such a difference.

Oh, this is such a pleasure to read, truly! We love that we could help make such a positive difference to your and your dog's life!
We used to be in the same position when we bought the first one of these from overseas for our dog and our minds were just as much blown away. :)

Game changer!

What an awesome invention! I have two Golden Retrievers, only one is old enough to exercise properly. She's very alpha and high energy, walking her was a chore constantly correcting her, and with manic excitement over other dogs on top it was a pain! She also needed more high intensity exercise than I could provide, especially time wise. Now I can take her for a half hour bike ride daily, she's exhausted and fulfilled afterwards, it's enjoyable for everyone (except the dog left behind). Wish I had brought it earlier, well worth the investment!

Thanks so much for the review: such an awesome invention indeed!
Great to hear that your adventures together have become more mutually enjoyable, makes for awesome bonding. :)

Great for an Active Dog!

An awesome attachment that has allowed us to get out and about with our very active Vizla. We would highly recommend it to anyone with an active dog! Easily attaches to the bike and easy to use (we used the longer cord provided as it suited our dog more). We trialed it on quiet roads to begin with but he has got used to it very quickly and now happily runs in any environment. We get some very envious looks from other dog owners, so glad this was recommended.

Ha! We know the jealous looks all too well. Thanks so much for the review! Feel free to shoot through a video of your Vizsla running with the bike. <3

Lockdown essential!

Ordered this for my 35kg 2-year old coiled-spring dog - he is hating lockdown as he is not allowed to run off-lead and he NEEDS TO RUN. He has previously run off-lead alongside my bike but only in a park setting, we tried him along the pavement and he did really well - only Day 2 but i can see this is going to be a great way to exercise him. We used the extra piece of cord provided (thanks!) to lengthen the cord by 100% and this made him feel more comfortable as he doesn't have to be held really close to the bike. Absolutely worth every penny!

Love this so much. Our dogs couldn't be happier either than when we bring the bike attachment out! Keep enjoying your rides, now and post lockdown. :)
