Size Guide:
If on the cusp choose the bigger one if your dog is a strong puller or suddenly lunges to the end of the lead.

  • Small: Best for dogs under 14kg
  • Large: Best for dogs over 10kg

Rope Material - super strong, but soft European tubular nylon webbing of different widths:

  • Large 25mm
  • Small
    Green/Purple: 16mm
    Grey: 19mm

Carabiner:

  • Zinc base carabiner, nickel plated, with swivel snap hook
    • Large: 16mm (~200kg breaking strength)
    • Small: 9mm (~100kg breaking strength)

How cool is this lead, love it!

I love this lead. It is very well made and thought through, very functional, so easy to change lengths and set up, and so easy to tether your dog. It's a great feeling walking hands free, 10 out of 10 (price is great too)👍👍

Great all purpose lead

I have two young Labradors who are at different stages of walking nicely on the lead so they both have the perfect fit harness and training lead. This allows me to securely tether one dog to a solid object utilising the double ended lead and the rings placed at different points along the lead while I do training with the other one.

So versatile

Always love this style of lead to give me flexible options for length and ease of securing safely to a handy object when I need to pop into the dairy etc. No need to remove lead to loop around anything. Great length available too when you want it.

Training lead

Nice lead. Personally a little longer would be good, should have purchased the large one perhaps. But happy all the same. In the next design review a next size up clip would be great as I found it a bit fiddly in my older hands. Well made.

Thanks for the feedback. We do stock longer double ended leads (2.5m) with the VersaLead. The 'Small' and the 'Large' Training Lead are both 2m long - the difference is in the thickness of the webbing as well as the size of the carabiners. For small dogs we use smaller hardware to ensure it's not weighing too heavy on the dog. I can understand how that would make it a bit more fiddly - sorry to hear that!

Training lead

Had to find replacement lead which broke similar to the one I purchased from Kiwi Canine. Went to 4 different pet shops Hutt Valley could not find anything even close for replacement. Went internet found Kiwi Canine found exactly lead I was after great lead can make it long short and easily secure to posts etc arrive 2 working days after ordering.

Great lead

Great lead, works really well. We use it on our very strong but anxious rescue dog, to allow her to have long range but also walk next to us if other dogs are near. I'm going to buy another one for our other dog now!

Great lead, would buy again

16mm webbing is a good width and nice to hold. buckles are at good intervals and last one can be used to create a comfortable hand hold

So many options!

I love that I can make this lead long, or short, have it around my body, or around a chair leg etc when I am out and about. It also works great with my perfect fit harness when I train loose leash walking!

Yay, we thought about the placements of the rings quite a bit, so glad it works well <3

Strong and versatile

I'm loving this lead! I especially like the double set up, as it gives more control when walking with Marley. I can very easily turn him around the other way if needed, and he seems to walk more closely to me. I also like being able to grip it with both hands

16mm double ended lead

Very versatile lead & perfect fit for my 9 month old whippet. The trainer at our puppy class asked to show it to the class to explain all the ways it can be used. Very happy with the lead.

bloody awesome.. brought my mum as a gift as she has one but wanted another one, she loves it love all the extra hooks, and length was perfect.. awesome that we can tie the dogs up outside without having to unhook the lead from the collar.. makes the job so much easier The dogs are hope that this gift means mum will take them on more walks... she definitely will be as this lead is used with ease. 100% recommend for both training and walks.

Easy to use

We bought the leash for the double clip, it gives you a lot more control with strong pullers and better for training. I like the function of having different options to have a handle and also to clip round your waist and onto other leads. Good quality and easy to use.

Great for training!

We purchased the double ended lead recently along with the perfect fit harness. We had been struggling with lead walking with Fred dragging us along... whilst this was 'cute' when he was a puppy, he's about to turn one and we knew we needed to sort our training out. We clip the lead onto Fred's harness at the front and also the back and have used it successfully when training him to not pull. We haven't quite made it around the block yet but we are miles ahead of where we were at before we saw Katya and purchased the lead. Yet again another product purchased from Kiwi Canine that we are impressed with.
