Qwizl is a favourite enrichment toy

Ruby now has both a small and large qwizl.
As a daily enrichment treat allowed for in her kibble diet, she gets 50g of a locally made raw dog meat mix jammed in the small qwizl and frozen. She absolutely loves it and it takes 20-30 minutes to get it all out.
This larger one is perfect for larger tendon chews. She is now a pro at removing golden tendons from a qwizl but it still slows her down a lot which is great. It also holds 100g of raw mix.
They stand up well to chewing and go in the dishwasher as needed.

Thanks so much for the lovely review and photo! I'm really glad to hear (and see) Ruby’s loving her Qwizls - sounds like you've got her enrichment routine down to an art. Using the small and the large for different purposes is a great idea. And yes, the fact they survive chewing and dishwashing is such a win. :)

Long lasting satisfaction!

Sunday afternoon bliss for Luna enjoying a pizzle in a Qwizl in the sun.

Naw, how blissful indeed. Thanks so much for sharing! <3
Glad the Steer Pizzles fit the Small Qwizl well. :)

Thanks so much for sharing the gorgeous pics. So glad the Qwizl works so well for her! <3

Ruby loves her qwizl

I obviously jammed the tendon chew in too hard the first time and she literally gave up apparently. I wasn’t there to see it as my husband was on pup patrol that time but she enjoyed the yoghurt I had smeared in & around the chew, then had frozen the lot.
She’s just spent 30 minutes enjoying it filled with cooked mashed pumpkin mixed with a bit of kibble and frozen. That was after her first walk in the big wide world, 10 days post final puppy vax. So she is now happily curled up and very much asleep. ☺️ It was the perfect thing to have on the clip station.
Will try the tendon again sometime soon as she also loves those and it will be good to extend their life a bit!

Ha! Next time you could just help her by pushing it out a bit if she struggles but she'll get more and more skilled anyways. :)
Those fillings sound delicious, glad she is enjoying it!

Qwizl toy

Kalli loves chewing her pizzle stick & the Qwizl toy makes this so much easier for her (and me cause I had to hold the pizzle while she gnawed it).

Haha, I am glad you no longer need to hold it for her. Thanks so much for sharing the lovely photos! <3

The Perfect Qwizl and Pizzle Partnership

Quinn loves the satisfaction and workout of tugging a pizzle or a venison meaty tendon from her invincible Qwizl. It's great to see her relishing the challenge of the Qwizl, and settling into a gratifying gnaw session with the contents. Smitten!

She sure looks very content, good ol' Quinn <3 Thanks so much for sharing!

My Bichon loves this thing!!

I got in touch with the KiwiCanine team looking for some suggestions for long lasting chews. They recommended a quizl stuffed with tendons. Safe to say my bichon loves this thing! The treats last way longer inside, keeps him occupied for most of the day with on and off snacking. It's durable enough that I don't think he will be able to break it. It feels tougher than his small Kong which has lasted us a while. The middle is small enough for him to carry around, and he loves to throw it around and chase after it. Its also a good design for him to hold it while chewing. A must have toy for any dog who loves treats (and what dog doesn't?)

Ha, who doesn't love an action shot!!? So happy the Qwizl/Chew combo is a hit! He looks truly stoked! <3

Good for grip

It provides grip for my dog and he's able to run around with it in his mouth. The chews last a bit longer which is great. Really sturdy too. I have got a few chews stuck in there though!

LOVE the photos! Thanks for your feedback, we have had to bring out the long screw driver a couple of times as well when we used a chew that was a bit wider and harder to get in. On the upside those are the times where the dogs work even longer on the toy. :D

The BEST

Gus LOVES his Qwizl! The Golden Tendons fit perfectly and rather than eating the chew all at once, he’ll just go back to it multiple times throughout the day for a wee chew.

Yay, what a great way to make his chew experience last all day. Go Gus! <3

A very good strong chew toy.

The best chew toy, hard to get things in it though, (pizzles are good) and it takes Sophie a long time time to get it finished. Also it's a toy she like to toss around.

Qwizl

these are amazing, they have kept our dogs distracted for ages, they are so good we have had to buy another so they don't have to share them

Thanks so much for your review! It’s great to know they’ve been such a hit that you needed to get another. Sounds like the Qwizls are working really well for you. :)

Nice! It is a clever toy indeed. And you could even add spreads and freeze it :)

Does your dog scoff?

I got this to try and slow my scoffer down. He scoff chews and will sometimes choke on them, attempting to swallow without chewing properly. It nearly works for him, with tendons in but he has managed to get some out after a while and scoff the last bit down. So it isn’t the solution but it’s close! He can still use it I just have to keep a very close eye on him. He has also managed to split the quizl within the first week so I may use the once replaced policy which kiwi canine so helpfully have.

Sounds like you want to check out our Chew Screw or Chew Grip, have a look. And yes, absolutely make use of the replacement guarantee, just flick me an email. :)

Love it!

The Qwizl has been a favourite right from the first day we used it. I really like how quick and easy it is to fill with a treat when I am rushing to get out the door. Our dog Koda, is kept busy for a long time working on getting to his treat. It is durable and still looks new after 4 months of heavy use.

Yay, so glad it was a great pick for Koda. Thanks for sharing! <3

The one thing every new puppy owner needs!

This has been my favourite purchase by far. Combined with one of the delicious chews from Kiwi Canine, it keeps my 12 week puppy occupied so that I can get on to doing other things. And when he is a bit over-tired and hyper, chewing on this calms him right down. I started off the Venison Straps in the small Qwizl, but found he could pull them out quite quickly, so started putting two straps together and that takes him longer to get out. Sometimes he needs a bit of help from me to nudge them out a bit. I asked Lisa for some other suggestions on chews that would go with the small Qwizl, so now he has a selection to choose from! At the moment he is loving the golden tendons.

Agreed, because it's so multifunctional it's the perfect all round dog toy for starters. :)
Love that you find all sorts of different ways to keep puppy occupied and promote calmness. Go you!

Qizzle

This is well constructed and I can see will stand the test of time. Dolly loved it to start with but now if she can't get the treat out after a few mins she gives up! Maybe I have a lazy dog lol. Will look to change up the treat to a bully stick soon and hope that revitalises her interest in it.

It's great to know it's going to last. I would go back and make it a bit easier with spreads and smaller treats and sticks that she can get out easily, so she starts to really get into the toy and then you can make it harder in very small steps, so she doesn't lose interest in the process. :)

Excellent for stick treats and making feeding a fun and long time

This is fantastic for stick treats and make them fun for our dog to work on chewing for ages. I make sure if the treat fits firmly in and if it doesn’t I jam a second thinner tendon in super firmly so they hold firmly in place. If they are loose it is too easy for my dog to get out but if they are super tightly in it makes for hours of fun chewing and problem solving for my dog. Highly recommended.

Those are some awesome tips, thanks so much for sharing! The Qwizl is certainly one of those must-haves for doggy parents. :)

Great for stuffing treats in, denta-sticks work perfect. Nice alternative to a kong.

Nice, check out our Venison Tendons as well for a chew that fits your large Qwizl. :)

We bought this at the same time as the nylo bone. It’s a toss up which one he likes better - this one is fun for us as he loves to chase after it - it was a good combo with the maple bacon chew toy as he doesn’t bother to chew on this one at all - just plays to get the treats, which keeps his mind busy as well ☺️

I think these are pretty good on the whole. I’ve got a big black lab whos a massive chewer! I’m writing this review about 3 or 4 months since purchasing this - it doesn’t look quite like when it was new but it still is being used as a chew toy happily

Awesome, so glad the Qwizl is holding up well for you guys! :)

Great!

These are awesome toys, we have one of each size and our dog and puppy love them. Really sturdy and well made and will last our Golden puppy well into adult hood.

Exceptional shop all round, great caring non processed treats and fantastic customer service. Will continue to buy from Kiwi Canine, the wish list is long!

Thanks so much, we really appreciate your support! <3

Fred approves!

We have been doing training with Katya and asked for some advice on how to keep our 10 month old puppy Fred occupied and to slow down his eating. She suggested the Qwizl and we are so glad we purchased this! Fred loves chewing on anything, particularly toys. We are really impressed with the quality of the Qwizl - there is no way he will be able to chew this to pieces. It also keeps him occupied when we need a break so it’s ideal. We just put in in the dishwasher to clean it. Thanks for the recommendation Katya

That's awesome you love it. It's a clear favourite and one of those must-have toys. Go Fred!

A big hit, slows down consumption of tendon chews and pizzles, very sturdy and will last well!

Some even add some spreads on the sides and freeze it to take to cafés and similar. We sure love the Qwizl as well! :)
