It’s important the girth measurement is correct, but don't worry if you are not sure which size is perfect for your dog as we can always adjust things later.
The Breed Guide is a rough guideline only. A wider harness provides more padding and evenly distributes the weight better for pulling dogs, so please choose the bigger range if your dog is a strong puller and on the cusp between 2 sizes.

How to use Perfect Fit with a Growing Puppy

If your puppy is still growing and you wish to have the perfect harness for them throughout the process, we offer for the outgrown pieces that are still in good condition to be returned to us for a store voucher. *
We always aim to fit puppies into the bigger of the 2 ranges if they happen to sit on the cusp, the same applies for adult dogs too. The wider harness provides more padding and evenly distributes the weight better for pulling dogs. This, however, does not mean that we should compromise the fit of the harness just because the dog is growing. We will consult you in the process.
Generally, from the age of 20 weeks the top piece tends to stay the same but the front and girth will need replacing over the coming months. This is only a guide as every dog is an individual, for example a 20 week old Dogue De Bordeaux will likely need all 3 pieces replacing before the age of 1 year and if he had his first harness fitted at 8 weeks old then he is likely going to outgrow 3 harnesses.
This is the voucher amount the returned pieces qualify for:

We always aim to fit puppies into the biggest possible pieces to minimise the requirement for upsizing.

When walking on a Perfect Fit harness, most dogs seem to have a change in their body language - they seem to walk more comfortably, calmly, more confidently as there is no pressure around their shoulder, head, neck and throat. They ‘seem’ to be walking ‘off lead’.

Choose the Range that you assume your dog will likely be (see the Size Guide under the price).

After you have placed the order, you will receive an email with a short form to fill in about your dog that will assist us in our fitting consultation process. Please fill in the form at your earliest convenience as the harness can not be shipped until it is filled in. Three photos will need to be provided.
Please note: You can choose between 7 colours. In case of black: black reflective is the standard; plain black will be sent should reflective be out of stock.
All ranges consist of three pieces and have a back and front D-Ring, except the Tiny range which consists of two pieces and does not have a front D-Ring. The front D-ring is only to be used in conjunction with the back D-ring by using a double ended lead or 2 leads, it is NOT designed to take the pressure that the back D-ring can.
