The Mānuka Chew for Dogs

FINALLY AN ACTUAL STICK YOUR DOG CAN CHEW

CAREFULLY HAND CRAFTED IN NEW ZEALAND FOR SLOW DESTRUCTION

Bonno’s ethically sourced Mānuka wood is slow dried, debarked, then treated with New Zealand flaxseed oil. Each Bonno chew is hand finished to a smooth texture ready for it to be destroyed.

LONG LASTING, SAFE FUN

Bonno chews are the long lasting nibble, fun and great for teething. Mānuka wood is fibrous and safe for the most enthusiastic chewer – the fragments are blunt and soft.
The wood-shaving like fragments of Mānuka wood that your dog will chew off a Bonno are edible and of no harm. In fact, this is the reward your dog is working towards - slowly destruct their Bonno. Mānuka wood, just like most other woods, is mainly fibre without other nutritional values and cannot be digested. Just like for humans, fibre supports a good digestion system. Mānuka wood is also free from essential oils.
No animal products, artificial ingredients or additives. Suitable for dogs with allergies.

NATIVE MĀNUKA

Fast-growing Mānuka has been used in New Zealand for centuries, valued for its medicinal qualities, honey and strong wood. The wood for Bonno chews is sourced as a by-product from local industries.

Key Features:

  • Long Lasting & 100% Natural
  • Grown & Hand Made in New Zealand
  • Plastic Free Chew & Packaging
  • Assists with dental hygiene

Safety Tips: Bonno is a dog chew toy. Replace Bonno when it is too short for your dog to hold in their paws. Discard large fragments. Suitable for puppies 3 months and older. Always supervise the use of Bonno.

The coveted chew!

Luna is busy and satisfied with this chew. Love the sustainability and the natural wood concept. It’s the one both our dogs go for first so I think we are going to need another!

So glad to hear it's a hit. I did think it would be! :)
Biggie will love to have his own one :D
Thanks so much for the cute video!

Crowley loves his new "stick"

Crowley is a chewer, and wants to chew any piece of wood or wood looking thing he can including bushes and trees still in the ground 😅 this Bonno chew has been great whenever he eyes something that's a no chew zone we tell him to get his "stick" and he trots off and grabs his big hunk of Bonno and sets to destroying it piece by teeny chewed piece. It's great to know it's safe for him and saves our plants and furniture ❤️

Oh, what gorgeous photos of Crowley with his Bonno! So glad it's working so well for you guys. Thanks for sharing!

Wood!

Puppies love wood and my puppy does still pinch my firewood occasionally but I am encouraging her to choose this stick and is spending some time on it instead.

Nice, good to have something that doesn't splinter! <3

Feeling blonde

My partner still hasn’t stopped laughing at me for spending money on a piece of firewood. For some reason I read it at a reconstituted wood rather than just a lovingly presented stick of manuka. Kudos to the marketing behind this. Pup was very happy to chew it :)

The Mānuka wood goes through a long process of drying. The long and slow natural seasoning process helps to harden the wood and minimises splitting. Additionally, the flaxseed oil often makes it more enticing as well.
Luckily it's not reconstituted wood as that wouldn't be natural and entail glue or other chemicals.

Bonno Chew

My dog loves this chew but not quite as strong as we thought. 2 weeks in and still going strong but Milo has already caused some serious damage!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience. Because Bonno is meant to be destroyed, we would expect a good amount of damage after 2 weeks. Glad to hear it's still going strong though. :)
